If the participant profile is synchronized with Epic, any updates to the patient’s demographics in Epic can be reflected in the participant profile on Way to Health.

Setup

Under Advanced Settings, choose This may be helpful to ensure information is updated in one place and is reflected in on both Epic and Way to Health.

Set-up

  1. Navigate to Advanced Settings then the Epic Fields and Validation header

  1. Click the checkmark, “Update patient demographics when they are updated in Epic”

  1. Click “Save”

(warning) When this is enabled, profile edits in Way to Health will be locked and any updates to the patient’s demographics should be done in Epic. An error banner will appear at the top of the edit profile that warns: “This patient’s profile is synchronized with Epic. Please update this patient’s demographics in Epic. Any changes made here will be overridden.”
