Did you know that not only can you duplicate entire arms , but also events within the same arm?! Talk about a time-saver!
When would I use this?
Do you have multiple events that are similar but slightly different so they can't just be repeated? This is the feature for you!
Examples
Weekly goal communication that occurs every week for 12 weeks, with slightly different messaging to the participant
Instead of creating 12 separate events, create just 1! You can then duplicate it 11 times and alter the messaging as needed - See example below!
Survey administered at 3-week intervals, with a different payment amount for completion
Instead of creating 4 separate survey events, create just 1! You can then duplicate it 3 times and alter the credit amount
How do I use this feature?
Navigate to Study Arms under the Manage Study drop-down.
Go to the arm for the event you want to duplicate and click ' Manage Event schedule'
Find the event that you want to copy and click the 'Duplicate' button.
Rename the copied event. For this example, we will rename the even to 'T/F Quiz #2'. Then click the 'Duplicate' button.
Your newly duplicated event will now appear in the Events Overview. Notice that it is an exact copy of the original event, with the updated name.
You are now ready to update the duplicated event as needed. I want to change the event start time and the question to say "True or False: Foods high in saturated fat increased your risk of cardiovascular disease? Text back T or F by midnight to get credit!." To do this, click the pencil icon.
Enter the new message, updated the scheduling, repeats, delivery method, etc. Then click 'Save' or 'Save and Define Logic' if the logic criteria need to be updated.
Your modified event will now display the updates.
You are now done with updating the newly duplicated event! Hooray!
