Platform-wide Updates (Version 1.5.7)

  • Introducing Provider Role and Access Groups in WTH! This is a brand-spanking new feature, so pay attention, my young whippersnappers:
    • Users that are set up as providers have restricted access so they can focus on reviewing and updating participant/patient data only and not worry about the complex configuration stuff.
    • Providers can also be set up with restricted access groups so that they only see their own patients.
    • Click here for a full explanation and tutorial on how to set this up.
  • A seasoned WTH user knows to always use the Way to Health template when building surveys in Qualtrics that will be imported into the platform. But for the average bear (i.e. most of us!), we built in an alert if you accidentally forget that step. That template has some seriously important hidden powers!
  • We now have standard participant site dashboard cards. /wiki/spaces/technical/pages/21496224.

New Device Integration

  • Yippie! A new device! We are excited to announce that WTH can now receive data from A&D wireless scales, through use of Qualcomm's 2net hub.

Project-specific Updates

  • PA Cure: Participant site dashboard card updates were made
  • iDiabetes Trial: We built some more smarts in to this study's gamification features so teams can move up and down levels together with ease.

Iteration: 1/4/17 - 1/18/17

Core Updates

Well, not exactly, but it is the new way that you'll link your WTH account to your Qualtrics account. Qualtrics now uses something called token-based authentication. This means you'll enter a special code into WTH, rather than your password. This makes the connection between Qualtrics and WTH extra secure. Here's a preview:

Behind-the-Scenes Stuff

We've made some key updates to the code that connects devices to WTH. This will decrease the number of occurrences when data is not received by WTH on time. Basically, we've upgraded from a Match.com-like state to eHarmony. Connections guaranteed!

Project-Specific Updates

  • iDiabetes Trial: A custom report for a physician letter mail merge was created and deployed
  • Penn Mood Tracker: A front-end dashboard was created and deployed

Iteration: 12/19/16 - 1/4/17
