Setting Up a Weight Change Alert

(lightbulb) Want to know whether a participant either lost or gained a significant amount of weight over a specified time span? Set up an alert! 

  1. Navigate to the 'Alerts' section under the Manage Study tab. 



  2. Click the '+ New' alert generators button.



  3. Fill out the following fields: 


                          

      • Source: select the source for the new alert. This will be either one of your project's device or surveys.  For a weight loss or gain project, this will most likely be either a scale, bi-directional SMS, or aggregator. 
        • Help: Don't see your device listed? First you need to set up your device.  See Devices and Data Sources for instructions!
      • Class: select 'Delta Alert Generator'.  This will allow you to detect fluctuations, or changes, in weight. 
      • Admin message: type the alert message that will go to project staff any time that the weight loss alert is triggered.  This alert message will be sent out via the user's notification preference and will appear on the dashboard when the user logs in. 
      • Params: select the params for the weight loss alert and then click 'Save'.

  1. (green star) Note: Now that you have built the alert on the study level, there is no need to build anything into an encounter aka your work is done!
