Creating and publishing questions

Ask a simple question

From the Lens Analytics Portal, click ‘Ask a question’ in the top right. You can choose between simple questions, custom questions, and native queries (W2H staff only). If you only want to expose the data from the ETLs you set up earlier, you will select Simple Question.

Next, you’ll pick your data. Select “Analytics Main” and then use the search bar to find the ETL tables. Search by study name.

Select the data table you want to view and it will automatically display for a simple question.

From here you can filter, visualize or export data. You can also click the editor icon (next to ‘Summarize’) button to transition to a custom question.

When you are done editing, click ‘Save’. Save to the collection you created earlier.

Publish a question

In order for the question to display directly in the W2H admin portal on the homepage, you need to publish the question. Click the diagonal arrow at the bottom right corner of the screen to see Sharing options.

Select ‘Embed this question in an application’.

Click ‘Publish’.
